Delete your RingReady account

How to delete your RingReady account and the information that goes with it. The steps are the same for the RingReady app for Android and for ringready.org.

Updated: September 18, 2026 Applies to: United States only Contact: privacy@ringready.org
On this page How to ask What happens next What we delete What we keep Delete only some data Contact us

1. How to ask

You do not need the app installed. Send us one email:

  1. Write to privacy@ringready.org from the email address you sign in to RingReady with.
  2. Use the subject Delete my RingReady account.
  3. Say whether you want the whole account deleted, or only some of your information (see Delete only some data).
Email a deletion request

In the RingReady app, open Me and tap Delete my account. It brings you to this page.

Don't send a password, a payment card number, or a government ID. We never need them for this.

2. What happens next

  • We check that the request came from you, using details already on your account.
  • We email you within 10 business days to say we have it.
  • If you own a club on RingReady, or share a dog with someone, we ask you first who should keep it. Shows and entries depend on those records.
  • We finish within 45 days. If the law allows more time and we need it, we tell you why before the 45 days are up.
  • We email you when it is done. After that you can't sign in, and the account can't be brought back.

3. What we delete

  • Your account and sign-in: your name, email, phone number, mailing address, and login records.
  • Your desks: your exhibitor, judge, show chair, and volunteer profiles, with their credentials and preferences.
  • Your dogs' profiles, your saved shows and home area, entry drafts you never sent, and your travel plans.
  • The notification registrations for your phone or browser.

4. What we keep, and for how long

A few records stay after the account is gone, because someone else relies on them or the law requires them.

Record Why it stays How long
Payments, refunds, fees, and receipts A payment is the club's record of an entry fee and part of our accounts, and a card issuer can question a charge. As long as tax, accounting, and payment rules require.
The internet address and browser a payment was made from A card issuer may ask about the charge. 180 days after the show the payment was for, or until an open question about that payment is settled.
Entries you sent to a club The club, its superintendent, or its show secretary holds the official entry. RingReady cannot delete their copy. The club decides. Ask the club.
Hotel or RV bookings that are not over yet The stay, a refund, or a dispute may still need them. The hotel or park keeps its own record. Until the stay and any cancellation or dispute are finished, then as long as accounting rules require.
The record of your deletion request It shows that we did what you asked. As long as privacy law expects us to keep it.
Security logs and backups They protect the service. A backup is a copy of everything and is not edited one account at a time. Security logs, for as long as the incident they record needs them. Backups, until they are replaced on their normal schedule.

When a record is no longer needed, we delete it, remove what identifies you, or keep it apart until it can be securely deleted.

5. Delete only some data and keep your account

You don't have to close your account to remove something.

  • An entry you haven't sent: open Entries in the app, choose it, and tap Remove draft.
  • Anything else, such as a dog, a travel plan, or your saved shows: email privacy@ringready.org with the subject Delete some of my RingReady data, and say what to remove. Your account stays open.

The same records stay as in What we keep.
